2026 Painting Competition¶
The 2026 Painting Competition took place from February 2nd to March 4th, 2026, to gather community submissions for paintings that are more fitting to be present in the world of Drehmal than the base Minecraft paintings. Finalist pieces will be included in version 2.3, with the artists credited in-game.

Throughout the course of 2.2's development, we ran a few different build competitions to get some community creations into the map. For 2.3, we're doing a painting competition! We want to replace all of the vanilla Minecraft paintings with our own Drehmal-themed ones, which is a big endeavor - one that you can help us with! This is a chance to have your artwork featured in Drehmal, and earn a place in our credits alongside previous community contributors.
More than 100 community paintings were submitted, and of those, there were 14 finalist artists with a total of 38 paintings selected for inclusion in 2.3, several of which are visible above.
